A 3-Day Aerospace & Engineering Experience for Middle School Students in Arlington

Are you ready to take STEM learning to new heights?
At Flight Deck STEM Camp, 8th-grade students and above will build, code, and present their own airplane instrument dashboards—then take it one step further with a private tour and lunch with real aerospace engineers.
This isn’t just a camp. It’s a launchpad.
🔧 What Students Will Do:
🛠️ Design & Build a Flight Dashboard
Students will work in teams to assemble and code a working aircraft instrument panel using real sensors, microcontrollers, and 3D-printed parts.
💡 Learn Real-World Engineering & Coding
They’ll explore key STEM skills; from using gyroscopes and accelerometers to coding with Arduino and visualizing real-time data.
🏢 Tour a Local Aerospace Company
On the final day, students will step inside a leading aerospace facility in Arlington and see where the future is being built.
👩🏾🔧 Meet Engineers, Present Projects
Students will enjoy lunch with aerospace professionals, present their dashboards, and ask questions about careers in STEM.
🎯 Who It’s For:
Rising 7th–8th graders (especially GT or STEM-interested students)
No prior experience required—just curiosity and a willingness to learn
Limited to 15 students max for a hands-on, high-impact experience
