Class Series: Design a Basketball Minigame (Sundays 1pm CST)
Learn Python by building a basketball mini game.
3 virtual classes + 1 final in person building session
For students 9+
The purpose of this class is to design a full project that students can take home.
Time: 1pm - 3pm on Sundays (open to adjusting).
Dates: October 30th, November 6th, November 13th, Nov 20th in person (Dallas TBD)
Class 1: Intro to Python coding, introduce the project.
Class 2: Inputs and outputs.
Class 3: Flashing lights and keeping score.
Final Class: in person - put together all the components. Debug, and take home your game.
Virtual classes will be recorded and make ups can be scheduled.
Outcomes:
Learning a common coding language, Python.
Building Mechanical + Electrical Systems
Full project design.
There are components we will buy and send to the kids. This include a microcontroller (Raspberry pi pico) and other components that can be taken apart to build other hobby projects.
