The EET Internship Program
A structured 5-week "Growth-to-Hire" track designed exclusively for 12th-grade EET students to bridge the gap between high school and the professional engineering world.
program at-a-glance
Target: Currently enrolled 12th Grade EET (Engineering Education Technology) Students.
Priority ISDs: Hillcrest, Sherman, and Prosper.
Commitment: 5 Weeks | 20 Hours Per Week.
Requirement: No prior workplace experience needed—just a willingness to learn and show up.
Why This Program?
"Many students are required to complete an internship after high school but don't know how to get one—or how to act once they’re there. This program intentionally fills that gap. We teach you how to pursue TI-aligned opportunities, communicate professionally, and launch your career with confidence."
The Two-Phase Journey
Phase 2: Field Experience (Weeks 3-5)
Focus: Hands-on Exposure
Placement in TI-aligned or industry-adjacent environments. You will observe real workflows, assist with task-based participation, and document your experience in a professional setting.
Phase 1: HAK Preparation (Weeks 1-2)
Focus: Professional Foundation
Before you hit the field, we ensure you’re ready. You will master professional communication norms, email etiquette, scheduling, and—most importantly—how to ask the right questions in a professional setting.
Core Responsibilities
What we expect from you:
Professionalism: Master reading, writing, and responding to workplace messages.
Ownership: Track your own hours and deliverables independently.
Active Observation: Participate in TI-aligned workflows and document what you learn.
Proactive Communication: Work closely with HAK mentors, especially when facing challenges or managing your workload.
The Process
Unlike our general internships, the EET track is a structured experience designed for those completing their post-high school requirement.
