HAKcon: A FREE STEAM Field Day for Grades 6 - 12
May 8th, 2026
HAKcon is a one-day, high-energy STEAM experience by HAKing Innovation that connects students’ interests to real-world engineering through hands-on workshops, competitions, and career exposure.
With successful events hosted at Cedar Valley College in 2024 and the Arlington Esports Stadium & Expo Center in 2025, HAKcon has already proven its ability to scale and deliver high-impact STEAM experiences for students across the region.

Why HAKcon Matters for Your Students
Your students will experience:
➤ THINKING — Learning to approach problems like engineers and technicians, breaking challenges into manageable steps, and understanding robotics, AI, and machine learning as systems requiring logic, testing, and iteration.
➤ BUILDING — Turning ideas into working solutions through hands-on collaboration, testing, and design defense. They'll learn that communication is as important as the build itself.
➤ BECOMING — Stepping into the role of future innovators. Students will see themselves as engineers, technicians, and analysts—building confidence, developing professional skills, and connecting today's learning to tomorrow's careers.
HAKcon 2026 competitions included robotics, 3D design, drone races, etc.
The workshops included circuits/soldering, artificial intelligence, and a building workshop.

We understand that the end of the school year can be a challenge. HAKcon is here to help provide your students with one last experience that inspires them for the summer. We want to make this event FREE as a thank you for the hard work of teaching our future engineers. We appreciate your support, feedback, and shared excitement as we host our second annual event.
